Christian Funeral Services in Honolulu

Losing a loved one is one of the hardest experiences we face in this life. In times of grief, families often feel overwhelmed—not only by sorrow but also by the many details that come with planning a service. In moments like these, you don’t need to walk alone.

As a pastor serving in Honolulu, I am available to help you and your family honor your loved one with dignity and point you to the hope we have in Christ. My role is not only to lead the service but also to walk with you in the days surrounding it—listening, praying, and offering the comfort of God’s Word.

How I Can Serve You

If you are planning a funeral or memorial service, here are some of the ways that I can help you:

Pastoral Care Before the Service: I will meet with you (in person or by phone/video) to listen to your story, learn about your loved one, and pray with you. Together we can talk through Scripture, songs, and reflections that will make the service personal and meaningful.

Graveside and Committal Services: At the cemetery, I can lead a committal service that offers words of comfort, Scripture, and prayer, reminding us that in Christ even the grave is not the end.

Ongoing Care My role doesn’t end when the service is over. If you would like, I can continue to check in, pray with you, and provide pastoral support in the weeks that follow.

Resources

Here is a list of resources that can help you during this time:

The Heart of a Christian Funeral

A funeral is not only a time to grieve and remember—it is a worship service. It is a time for family and friends to gather before God, to thank Him for the gift of a life, to grieve honestly in His presence, and to cling to the promises of the gospel.

When Christ is at the center, a funeral becomes more than a farewell. It becomes a proclamation of the hope that because Jesus has risen, death is not the end. We gather to mourn, but we also gather to worship the God who gives eternal life.

Honorarium

I don’t have a set fee for funeral or memorial services. Families usually provide an honorarium, and I am grateful for that support. It acknowledges the time and care that go into preparing and leading a service.

That said, if finances are difficult, please don’t let that keep you from reaching out. My first desire is to walk with you and point you to the comfort of Christ.
