About Jon

I’m a pastor, husband, dad, and disciple of Jesus Christ, living and serving in Hawai‘i. I’ve been called to preach God’s Word, shepherd God’s people, and help churches live out the gospel in their communities.

My pastoral journey began as a youth pastor in Warren, Ohio, where God first taught me how to love His church in all its messy, beautiful diversity. From there, I spent thirteen years serving Chinese congregations in both Ohio and Hawaii, transitioning over time from youth ministry into the role of senior pastor. Today, I am honored to bring that experience into my current role serving as the Senior Pastor at Pearl City Community Church.

Along the way, I studied at Liberty University (B.S. in Biblical Studies), and Reformed Theological Seminary, where I completed my Master of Divinity.

My ministry has always been marked by three things: a love for the gospel, a heart for discipleship, and a desire to see the church grow across generations and cultures. Whether teaching from Scripture, writing curriculum, creating resources, or walking with people through weddings, funerals, or everyday life—I want Christ to be magnified.

At the end of the day, my deepest hope is simple: that people would come to know Jesus, grow in Him, and live as His witnesses in the world.
